Music
Our Music Program was inspired by Jazz4Jennings. The Center now has 12 keyboards, 2 trumpets, a drum set, 2 pianos and African drums.
Cool Kids Thrift Shop
Created during the holiday
season, the Cool Kids Thrift
Shop is utilized to teach our
children entrepreneurship.
S.T.E.A.M
With a collaboration with the SOFO Museum, kids are encouraged to
explore and understand
science principles through experiments and observations. They learn about technology by using digital tools and exploring coding concepts.
Horseback Riding lessons
With the help from Center of Therapeutic Riding of the East End, this teaches kids about responsibility, patience,
empathy, and self-discipline.
Ceramics
The art of making sculptures
and other objects out of clay.
Gardening
Learn how to grow different types of vegetables, which vegetables to grow during each season, how to successfully care for them,
prevent pests and weather from destroying them, and how to harvest plants at maturity.
Jewelry Club
Learn to make your own unique, handmade jewelry using a wide variety of materials, including
beads, sheet metal,
manufactured findings, stones, and other supplies.
Sewing
Kids learn to sew with a sewing machine and gain an understanding of sewing basics as they make a variety of projects. Students will
leave this class with the skills and confidence to tackle more sewing projects as they develop valuable exposure to creativity, design, fine motor skills, construction/assembly, and more.
The Center is a vital hub for our community, providing comprehensive resources that encourage, educate, and empower our children and families. Through a diverse range of innovative programs, essential services, and enriching opportunities, we deliver the support that children, youth, and families need to thrive, ensuring they are “Always Better at The Center.”
