DESCRIPTION:Join The Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center for the opening night of the Hamptons Black Film\, Art & Culture Series on Sunday\, September 13\, 2026\, presented by The Center in partnership with The Southampton Playhouse. \nThe evening will feature a special screening of We Want the Funk! with a special introduction by acclaimed documentary filmmaker and director Stanley Nelson. Guests are invited to celebrate Black joy\, music\, culture\, and community through film\, conversation\, and connection. \nThe celebration continues after the film with a reception and discussion. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best 1970s style\, funk\, and flair. \nAll proceeds benefit The Center.
