About Reading Revival

The Reading Revival: It’s a Movement, is a year-long initiative focused on building literacy through everyday moments at The Center. Across our after-school classrooms, youth leadership initiatives like D.R.E.A.M. Teens, and literacy-focused community events, reading becomes a tool for confidence, curiosity, critical thinking, and connection.

This effort brings students, families, staff, and the community together to share stories, strengthen skills, and celebrate learning in meaningful ways.

Read. Reflect. Inspire.

This June, The Reading Revival celebrates stories of freedom, kindness, empathy, and community. Featured books like Juneteenth for Mazie and All Different Now help readers learn about Juneteenth, while Do Unto Otters and I Am Human encourage respect, compassion, and understanding.
