Programs

Our children, 5-13 years, begin each day with Affirmations. A few favorites are: I am smart, I am loved, I am respectful, I am brave; I am strong; Never give up. Homework time and individual help begin next. The Center offers a wide variety of educational and enrichment programming. We focus on building self-esteem and helping our kids become the best that they can be.

Yarp

Young Artists in Residence Project, at the Watermill Center meets and strengthens experiences in visual and performance art. Three comprehensive projects with artists from around the world are completed during each school year.

Parrish Art Museum

Meets at the Center or at the Parrish Museum-expanding creativity and exposure to fine arts.

Culinary Arts Program

Our program offers hands on cooking experiences and healthy nutritional education for our teens, children, and adults. We have an organic soul garden, which is utilized to teach our children gardening and healthy nutrition.

In-Kind Dining

This program takes place in partnership with local restaurants in Sag Harbor and Bridgehampton. Once a week during the off season- kids from the After-School program and our D.R.E.A.M. Teens get to dress up, accompanied by
our staff, and enjoy a spectacular meal. They are learning the art of fine dining, socialization, proper etiquette, and manners that they can utilize throughout their lifetime.

Music Program

Our Music Program was inspired by Jazz4Jennings. The Center now has 12 keyboards, 2 trumpets, a drum set, 2 pianos and African drums. Music lessons are available by appointment. We are always in search of instructors. Please
contact us if you would be interested in becoming an instructor for this program.

Cool Kids Thrift Shop

Created during the holiday season, the Cool Kids Thrift Shop is utilized to teach our children entrepreneurship. The store is planned and set up by our children with donated items. They stage the store and set prices. The
children learn to set up orderly displays, learn the art of salesmanship, and manage the payments for the purchases.

Scrabble Club

Meets once a week. Our 4th and 5th graders compete in regional and national tournaments.

Chess Club

Meets weekly and is free for all ages. Under 15 years 6-7 PM. Adults and teens 6-8 PM.

The Center is a lifeline for working families and a net for the surrounding community providing a wide variety of programs and services. We are a service facility, and we service the community. We want our children to become good citizens and to support our families.
